Art & Music Reception The British Invasion: Collages by Chrissy McIntyre Chrissy McIntyre’s fascination with England began at an early age. It grew out of her love of the language and the sense of humor that seems to identify the culture. As soon as she graduated college, she made for Britain and while she now resides in New Jersey, London will always be her second home. Chrissy forms her collages by meticulously piecing together tiny squares cut from magazines and newspapers to create her subject matter. Her influences run far and wide from the gorgeous Roman mosaics to the highly stylized pop artists like Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein. Her favorite artist is Chuck Close and he continues to be a strong influence on her work.
