Celebrate Purim at Temple B’nai Abraham!

Purim, which begins Wednesday evening March 4, is a festival that commemorates the deliverance of the Jewish people living throughout the ancient Persian Empire from a plot by Haman to annihilate them, as recorded in the Biblical Book of Esther (Megillah Esther). Purim is celebrated annually according to the Hebrew calendar on the 14th day of the Hebrew month of Adar (Adar II in leap years). In observance of Purim, Temple B’nai Abraham will hold services on Wednesday, March 4, at 7:00 PM, which includes the traditional reading of the Megillah ( the Book of Esther). Join us for this event which is free and open to the community! Also in celebration of Purim, the Jewish Learning Program of Temple B’nai Abraham will hold their annual Purim Carnival on Thursday, March 5, from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at the temple. The entrance fee is $10 in advance and $15 at the door. Games and inflatables will be provided by Bounce On In Events. There will be face painting , snacks for purchase and much more.
