Blessing Empowerment of Dorje Shugden

Dharmachakra Buddhist Center in the Millburn Village Mall, 2933 Vauxhall Road, will hold a special event, the Blessing Empowerment of Dorje Shugden, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 25, with Resident Teacher Kadam Peter Kurczynski. An empowerment is a special guided meditation that connects meditators with their pure potential and inspires them to improve their good qualities so they can be of greatest benefit to all living beings. The event is open to the public. The cost is $65, $35 for members. This includes a sadana (prayer book). During this empowerment, Resident Teacher Kadam Peter Kurczynski will bestow the blessings of the Dharma Protector Dorje Shugden. The empowerment will be held from 10 a.m. to noon, followed by a lunch break from noon to 2 p.m. There will be a commentary with Q&A from 2 to 3:30 p.m., then a practice session from 4 to 5 p.m.
