This Spring Maplewood Division of Arts & Culture will present 2 of Classics of the operatic repertoire FREE to our residents. Opera lovers, who are missing live performances for the 20/21 season, may enjoy specially-curated digital-stream performances free with advanced registration, at The Woodland West Side Yard.
Hansel and Gretel (E. Humperdinck) are a brother and sister abandoned in a forest, where they fall into the hands of a cannibalistic witch who lives in a house made of gingerbread, cake, and pastries. The witch intends to fatten the children before eventually eating them, but Gretel outwits the witch and kills her.
Table seating assigned, so bring your beverage and snacks for your household.

This event while free, will be exclusively through advanced registration. All seating will be through assigned tables by household. Cocktail tables will seat up to 4 members from a household. Physical distancing measures and Social Distancing Ushers will be in place to maintain safety measures as set forth from the Maplewood Health Division and will be updated as necessary as the situation evolves. Attendees may bring their own beverage and snacks for their table/household – no sharing between tables for safety measures.
