The Italian Cultural Club at Columbia High School celebrates: 2013 The Year Of Italian Culture In The United States and the 200th birthday of Giuseppe Verdi, famous Italian Opera composer. At the High School\'s Black Box Theater. Doors open at 6:00pm. Come and listen to Mr. Eugene Pollioni and Mr. Ernest D\'Amato, two opera authorities, share their expertise about Giuseppe Verdi and his opera Rigoletto, which is based on Victor Hugo\'s 1882 play,Le Roi S\'Amuse (The King Has Fun) Mr. Eugene Pollioni, a teacher in the Language Arts Department at Columbia High School, and Mr. Ernest D\'Amato, a former Special Education teacher at Maplewood Middle School, will share their knowledge about the great composer and his work.** After the talk, the opera will be shown. There will be an intermission with light refreshments and a question and answer period after the showing.
