20th Fundraiser for the Italian Cultural Club

THE ITALIAN CULTURAL CLUB AT COLUMBIA HIGH SCHOOL Presents its 20th fundraiser: ITALIAN DINNER/MUSIC NIGHT On Friday, December 7, 2012, the Italian Cultural Club at Columbia High School will sponsor its 20th fundraiser: ITALIAN DINNER/ MUSIC NIGHT, in the Cafeteria, from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM The evening will be dedicated to the following regions of Italy: La Toscana, Le Marche, Il Lazio, L’Umbria, L’Abruzzo and Il Molise Advance sales only by Monday, November 26, 2012 Adults: $25.00; Students: $15.00; The proceeds will help defray the cost of the evening and the activities undertaken during the year by the Club. Some of the proceeds from the fundraiser will be donated to a charitable organization. In the past we have donated to the following organizations: Cooley\'s Anemia Foundation (thrice); Casa Colombo of Millburn, NJ (towards the rebuilding of their Center due to a fire); Relay for life of West Orange (American Cancer Society- twice); the Special Olympics in New Jersey; the American Heart Association; the National Italian American Foundation (as a donation towards one of their scholarships for the Italian Language). The Club has also given a plaque to honor the Father Vincent Monella Center of Italian Culture of South Orange for its continuous support for the Italian program at Columbia High School. We have also given to the Museo d’Italia at St. Lucy’s church in Newark, NJ; the earthquake in Molise, Italy in 2002: and the earthquake in Abruzzo, Italy in 2008. We donated also to the Montville Unico for its Turkey 4 U students’ program. So, reserve your seats now. Come alone or better yet bring your relatives and friends too. Enjoy the food, the music, the dancing and the performances, knowing that your involvement is benefiting a good cause.
