We are looking for a new nanny to start with us in early/mid-April 2020 . Our current nanny is leaving us to take a non-nanny job. We hope there will be time for our new nanny to work and overlap with our current nanny to ease the transition for everyone.

The Kids:

We have two easygoing twin boys who love to talk and play. They especially love all things that move, including rocket ships.  They love their current nanny and we hope to have the opportunity to build the same relationship with their next nanny.

What we are looking for:

- Someone who is calm, kind, and positive / happy; the most important aspect is positivity

- We are looking for someone who creates curiosity and communicates well

- A development mentality; including reading to them unprompted, having ideas on activities to do, etc. and who encourages their choices and sees each boy as an individual

- Some experience with kids aged 2-3 preferred, but not required

- Energetic; probably someone on the younger side of spectrum, but we are open

- Driving ability preferred, but flexible with someone who isn’t able to drive

- Ability to work Monday – Friday but we are flexible for the right person  Our current nanny works Monday - Thursday.

- Ability to start work as early as 6:45 am ET. Both parents current work from home so early start not as necessary right now but will be when parents no longer able to work from home.

Positives about the job:

- You will make a huge impact on our kids ability to process and interact with the world!

- Support network nearby: parents work from home often on Fridays; Present in-laws in the area / nearby for emergencies & taking kids to doctor

- You have some downtime during the day (we know childcare is hard!) : the kids nap 2-3 hours in the afternoon and they go to  classes part of the morning (Monday through Friday, though classes currently cancelled).  We expect you to use part of this time for meal prep for the kids and to prepare kid-friendly activities or to do some development related reading. The rest of this time is your own to rest.

- Limited non-baby related housework

Note: we enforce limited to no screentime for our kids.  It is important to us that you are interacting (speaking / playing / listening etc) with our kids and not on your phone when they are awake. Thank you for your interest and we look forward to speaking with you.
