Your personal Artwork

I've been doodling a little lately - here's some of my latest creations.

First concept was playing with overlapping stripes with a paintbrush technique.

This moved on to more solid overlapping stripes:

And then here's one more with different colors and a guy looking at it - I like the whole scene with this one:

Where were you showing them, jamie?

They're only digital images - so no where except here.  grin

Hey ya Jamie, congrats on stepping into a new realm! I didn't want you to feel all alone in this thread so I "see" your digital paintings and raise you a couple of my oils on panels.

The bicycle one is a small detail of a much larger (2'x4') painting called "Mrs Henderson goes to town".

The other is called "The Awkward Dive" and is only 6"x6".

Nice!  Looks like a few Van Gogh inspired swirls in the dive painting.  grin

Here's one where I was playing around with graphics from a MWS T shirt:

Back in the 70's, I used to draw with colored pencils. Usually while, um, affected by some vegetation.

Here's a sample. Don't ask me what they're supposed to represent. They're just shapes to me. Some are better than others.

Unfortunately the scans are not perfect. Somehow, someway, the drawings are slightly bigger than 8 1/2 by 11 so there's some cutoff. Not that you'd notice.

Everything is freehand, except for a perfect circle or three. Maybe a very straight line here or there too. Who remembers.

I recently started playing around with dot art on mini canvases. Something kinda soothing about doing it.

Not sure whether it counts as "art" - but here's my most recently completed cross stitch project.  Left side is the picture I started with, finished stitching on the right.

That's great! You really captured the face.

You nailed the face - and the subtly darker shade of the tail. Nice! And the dot art above looks like jewelry. I like it, and everything else that has been shared.

my personal fav

This one looks like it might have been on the cover of some of the SF I used to read.

I love this thread! So many talented people in our towns.
