Winter Storm Stella Update #2
1. Tonight March 13th, there will be no overnight parking granted. Any vehicles left parked on the street overnight will be subject to ticket and tow.
2. Maplewood Library is closed on Tuesday, March 14th. Maplewood Town Hall will be open.
3. If needed, the Community Center in DeHart Park – 120 Burnett Avenue – will be open as a shelter. The police will determine if a shelter is necessary based on current conditions. The Center will also serve as a warming station if the need arises. Please call the police if you run into any problems – 973-762-1234.
4. The Fire and Police Departments have added additional personnel to the next shifts to handle any emergencies that might come up.
5. The Department of Public Works has 21 snow plows and 5 salt spreaders ready to go. The DPW will plow throughout the night and during the day on Tursday. There may be times when you do not see the plows to give the crews mandatory rest time.
6. Snow removal:
a. When shoveling your property, do not throw snow into the street. If you do you will be fined.
b. Also, please do not cover fire hydrants with snow and if possible, clear the hydrant in front of your house.
I join with our weather Guru, Max, to say that winter storms do not have names. Hurricanes, Yes, Storms, No! TWC is crazy! Marketing is becoming just too much!

I think Vic gets the name thing but does not know how to or has not had time to edit the thread title.
How about if we just decide the name implies what to drink during the snow day with all of our loved ones at home. Stella seems ok to me...
No morning or evening jitney service on Tuesday, March 14th.
