Who might agree that Lindsay Graham has turned

Because of a golf course promise of the next Supreme Court Seat??? Deplorable! RESIST!

Is that true? Where'd you hear that?

That would explain his complete turnaround.

Hadn't thought about the Supreme Court. Had thought that he's either being blackmailed over being gay, was promised Sec of State, or was just trying to keep Trump from truly losing it.

The warmonger likes the warmongering he sees in North Korea, Iran, Israel/Palestine, Saudi Arabia/Yemen, Ukraine and Venezuela -- all of which belie the premise of Russiagate. So why shouldn't he get off the train?

drummerboy, Just from between my two ears.  It just occurred to me that his golf course visit was not so long ago and suddenly he's everywhere, everywhere!  I hadn't thought of Sec of State but the plum that they all usually want, JSC.  He might also be asking for DOJ!

I was going to start a thread about why EVERY GOPer has turned. Not just turned, but is all in, hook, line, and sinker. My theory: DJT had his goon investigators dig up dirt on every member of congress, every high-ranking Republican working anywhere in the federal govt. He has the most intimate, secret details on EVERYONE.  I agree with @dave23 that Graham is being blackmailed over being gay (as if the entire country didn't already know and as if that's even something to be embarrassed about). What other reason would there be for every single elected member of the GOP to turn on their country? They ALL fell in line.

As I read in a comment section elsewhere, the GOP is the biggest crime syndicate ever to exist in the United States of America.

I dunno. I think it has to do with:

1. Fear of being primaried from the Right.

2. Fear of becoming irrelevant since without the President's support there is little a legislator of the President's Party can accomplish.

It's much simpler than that.

They're all assh****

In Mp./S.O. it ain't nothin' to be embarassed about but in Redstateland (A.k.A. Dumbfcukistan) --- well, ya see, Jesus don't like that stuff goin' on so if you want to win the election,  somethin' about the Bible and Adam and Eve and Steve, ya better not be gay.

Watch the regionalism...

As a proud and Liberal product of The Great State of Mississippi!

Is that Dumbfuckistan Union County or Mercer County?????

As has badly been used: There are good people everywhere!

Best Regards,

Ron Carter

Yeh, but who gets elected in those regions and who gets screwed by those that are elected?

I vote for this one.  Lindsey Graham never saw a war he did not like.  His defense contractor donors pull the strings.  Same thing happened with the tax bill and Graham and was brazen enough to openly say that "the financial contributions will stop if tax reform fails."

Here's a more complete story on Leonard Blavatnik, the Russian (actually Ukrainian) oligarch mentioned in your link:

https://www.politico.com/magazine/story/2016/07/democratic-national-convention-2016-russiasn-214123

If Zhukova and Baibakova are Russians putting their thumbs on the scale for the Democrats, other prominent Russians are less ideological. The Russian-born American businessman and philanthropist Leonard Blavatnik and his American wife, Emily, for example, have also been prolific donors, but it is unclear whom they are rooting for, donating to the DNC, the RNC, to the campaigns of Scott Walker, Lindsey Graham and John Kasich, as well as Kamala Harris, Chuck Schumer and Hillary Clinton. Blavatnik, who was born in the Soviet Union and made his money in Russia, is doing a perfectly American thing: placing bets on every possible outcome.

The second linked story is about Russian immigrants to the US. Their actions are no different from other wealthy immigrants or native born Americans.

Now explain why the first linked story about Sen. Graham is not an example of McCarthyism.

That was my point.

Warmonger-in-Chief (now that John McCain is sidelined) Lindsey Graham warns against peace talks with N Korea. This is a warning to Trump who endorsed talks between North and South Korea this weekend and said he would talk to Kim Jung-on.

The Trump-Graham honeymoon is heading for rocky waters.

Is Graham really gay?

Who give a f@#^?

last December Authoritarian expert Sarah Kendzior, had a scarier explanation, basically, the RNC and Graham's emails were hacked.  Trump has those emails and it blackmailing Senators and Congressman.  This also explains why so many GOP Congressman are 'standing their ground' when it comes to Trump

This would explain a lot...

Graham is partially redeeming himself with Sihthole-Gate response.

GL2,

Partially...

I'm wary now.

Look, they are ALL complicit either because they all took money from the Kremlin or they are being blackmailed (either by DJT or the Kremlin). There's no other explanation.

Agree. Can't figure this guy out. I wonder if it has anything to do with his losing his Senate BFF, McCain. But I gotta give him a bit of credit for continuing to hold his position, unlike odious others who were there and deny the words.

shoshannah might be right. It's a head shaker, how DJT commands loyalty and, for the most part, gets it from GOPers.

I don't buy it.  Always best to go with the simplest explanations.  Why are these members of Congress afraid of Trump?  Because most of them are from states where GOP primary voters are strong Trump supporters.  They don't want to face those voters next spring in the primaries being perceived as a Trump enemy.

It is very simple. Trump is a Republican and so are they.  His policies are their policies.  He gets money from the same place they get money and follow the same orders.  Of course they get along, although Trump is a bit embarrassing for them sometimes.  They all suck including the "nice" ones like John McCain.  It has nothing to do with Russia unless it's related to business.

Tend to agree with nan on this one.  They're hoping (despite recent experience) to get their odious policies passed and signed.

I agree with the last three posts.
