Which is the best VPN to get in order to protect our browsers?

I had one on m iPhone but it slowed it down and often crashed. I paid a little for it, nothing major. The articles I've read strongly urged not to download free VPN's. Also, discovered that even with a purchase, some of them store their own data on you! Ugh! How to choose the right one?

I use Private Internet Access myself. I'm satisfied with it.

I like NordVPN. No logs kept.

Question: if covering all devices, do you purchase separately for all devices or can you choose how many devices to cover?

With a single NordVPN annual subscription, multiple devices are covered (forget if any limits), but i run it on mobile devices, Macs, PCs, etc.

With PIA - subscription covers 5 devices.
