where can I get passports?

what's the nearest passport office? Thanks.

The South Orange post office worked well for me. They take appointments. Their pictures are grainy though, I’d bring my own. 

You can have passport photos taken at CVS.

CVS Maplewood?  Millburn?

I think most CVS stores can do passport photos, but we had ours done at the CVS on Valley St in Maplewood.

The OP did not ask where to get photos but rather for the nearest Passport Office.

I believe the Millburn PO operates as a Passport Office. Otherwise the Clerk of Essex County, Hall of Records, 465 M.L. King Blvd., Newark. Second Floor

The Essex County Clerk holds outreach hours that may be more convenient, but no outreach hours are currently listed on its calendar. Might be worth a call in case it simply hasn't been updated.

Information about what to bring to a passport appointment appears on the office's website. 

Passport photos are taken at the Short Hills post office, but I believe the Millburn office no longer offers this service. (It's not on their website).

South Orange post office as previously stated. Takes appointments, sends text alerts, takes pictures. 

Family members have an appointment at the Orange Post Office tomorrow to have a passport issued.

Short Hills P.O.

thanks for the replies everyone!  After going to multiple POs I'll let you now that if you ever need to apply for a PP,  The Short Hills PO issues them.  Happy Travels.
