The only thing to do if Trump fires Mueller is to support continued Congressional investigations. He can't fire them.
This means that opposing the Congressional investigations would be helping Trump, and I don't think that's such a great strategy.
It looks like the Congressional investigations are going by the wayside. A post on Democratic Underground says that the Russian investigating committee has called no future witnesses.
We can have Maplewood or S.O. listed as a site for rally.
There may be no need to fire Mueller. His investigation is now being being roundly attacked by conservatives and many Republicans as biased and lacking integrity.
This is the setting up for Mueller's investigation to be propagandized as invalid if he finds dirt on the Trump family.
Reminds me of a certain Saturday in 1973....and we all know how that worked out for Nixon.

Rather eerie how the NY Times front page on that date noted a meeting with Russian officials and Israel advancing it's foothold. Perhaps the world situation hasn't advanced as far as we'd like to think.
I think the question is not how far we have advanced, but if we are going backwards.
The latest Trump scenario for the holidays appears to be slightly less contentious than firing Mueller. Rather, he may "reorganize" the Justice Department by firing and replacing Sessions and/or Rosenstein, the newcomers who could then themselves fire Mueller, limit or quash the investigation, refuse to bring further charges or indictments, etc.

Q: Can President Donald Trump fire special counsel Robert Mueller?
A: Not directly. Only the deputy attorney general who appointed Mueller can fire him and only for cause. But Trump could fire the DAG, or order the special-counsel regulations repealed and fire Mueller himself.

..as posted above, that was the scenario with Nixon's Saturday Night Massacre (no relationship to the Bowling Green Massacre). But Archie Cox was ultimately fired.
And a photo of Reggie Jackson helping beat the Mets in the World Series!

And after the AG and Deputy AG resigned rather than fire him the third ranking person at Justice did so. That person's name was Robert Bork who a decade later failed to win confirmation to the Supreme Court, his life's ambition.
What goes around comes around.
The statements by these two "Never Trump" conservatives are more devastating than almost anything I've heard or read from The Left.

Go to Moveon.org and find out where you can join the nation-wide march. There's a site in Morristown in front of Rodney frelinhuysen's office. If Mueller gets fired before 2:00 pm, we meet at 5:00 pm. If Mueller gets fired after 2:00 pm, we meet the next day at noon.
Google "Mueller firing rapid response."
Fill out the form here and see where to join the response.

Apparently, rumors are swirling in Washington that Trump may fire Mueller or the equivalent on the 22nd after Washington empties for Christmas. Moveon.Org, Common Cause, and a number of other organizations are planning a national network of rallies in the hours after this would happen. It is possible that rallies may go on for days or weeks, that traffic and businesses may be disrupted, that the stock market could be affected, etc., as we enter a constitutional crisis.

Here is a bit from the webpage. It looks like the nearest NJ rallies are in Westfield and Morristown:
300+ Events to Protect Mueller Prepared Nationwide to Ensure No interference with Russia-Trump Investigation.Trump Is Not Above The Law is a collaborative project of two dozen organizations, including MoveOn.org Civic Action, Public Citizen, Common Cause, Indivisible, March for Truth, People for the American Way, and Stand Up America ***
Nationwide, activists are organizing more than 300 emergency “Nobody is Above the Law” rallies to take place in the case that Donald Trump interferes with the criminal investigation into his campaign and administration.
The Trump Is Not Above the Law rallies—which will launch should Trump attempt to fire special counsel Robert Mueller or interfere in some other way—have a new urgency...
