We Need a Dog Groomer

We've always used Puppy Love in the past, but hoping to get something closer now that they've moved (and they are booked - hard to get in for an appointment either way) We tried PetSmart with pretty good results, but for other reasons would like to consider other groomers.  We have a short hair dog - so I don't need a "stylist" just a bath and summer shave.  Any recommendations?  Anyone use mobile pet grooming?

Been using Animal Kingdom in South Orange for many years. My poodle gets a haircut every 6 weeks for $58. You can always get an appointment within a few days.

I've always seen Animal Kingdom, never really knew exactly what it was.  Thanks for the suggestion.

Fan5, how big is your poodle?  When my 70 pound labradoodle was younger I asked them for an estimate and they said it would start at $125.  I never used them.

I miss being able to walk to Puppy Love, but once you have to get in the car, does it really matter if it is one mile or 2-3?  Are there ANY grooming places that are under a mile from "middle Maplewood"? 

The prices at Puppy Love seem lower than most and we have always been happy with their service.

Today most of the busy pet owners prefer mobile pet grooming. Initially it sounded quite strange for me. Was wondering how practical this idea would be. There are myriad of pet grooming software products available like the 123 pet Software  or say the pawfinity. Mobile apps development services say that even pet industry is seeing technological advancement. Such apps ensure user friendly pet grooming, pet boarding and doggy daycare businesses. Today there are apps literally for everything from tappy tunes for toddlers to tripAdvisor apps for travellers.  

I did search online and found one such service zoomzoomgroom, which provides mobile grooming vehicle, an upscale salon. There were many such options like beauty paw. Quite confusing so I would suggest you to check for online reviews too.

Bubbles and Bath always did a great job on our Labradoodle.  Prices are good.
