Verizon

New homeowners. If Verizon is already wired into home does a tech need to come to house or can they flip a switch somewhere to get the internet up and running ?

They will definitely come to see your installation. Depends how old the cable coming into your house is. They will probably upgrade the cable and modem.

Looks like all has been updated from previous owners but not sure. If so can this been done remotely by Verizon?

Did the previous owners leave the Verizon boxes? For an initial start up on a new account I think they will need to come out to the location. Just my experience with Verizon over the years. You can explain all this when you call them to set up a new account.

Main box in basement(the updated kind) still there. Cable wires  in various placec in home. New owners have their own router.

It can be activated without a tech being present. Depending on what equipment is present there is a minimal amount of tech savvy needed to get this going.

To me the least time wasting way to do this is get on their website and do an online chat with one of their techs. They can probably walk a reasonably technical person through any setup. The reason I like the online chat is it doesn’t require me to be stuck on a phone, but that’s my personal preference.
