At a wake in an Alice Springs steakhouse, a gathering of devotees of the Darwin Stubby have farewelled an Australian icon.
Carlton and United Breweries produced the Darwin stubby, which once held the equivalent of 4¾ US pints and now holds just under 4¼ US pints. The brewery has announced it is stopping production of the bottle, which was a tourist drawcard in the Northern Territory.
