Trump Violence

Sorry for another Trump thread - tonight's rally was bound to happen eventually.  I don't think it'll get better.  Will these divisive rallies Make America Great Again?

Trump has not spoke out at all towards his "passionate" fans supporters.

Inciting violence has been part of his MO to date.

It's time for the good people to wake up.

All of a sudden you're recognizing divisiveness?  Where have you been this century?

"A Donald Trump rally in Chicago was canceled tonight after protesters clashed with Trump supporters"

Who exactly is the violent side?

yeah, this was truly scary, the way he reacted and almost tried to escalate this rather than take it down. He is lucky the crowd didn't escalate the violence

In St Louis today, in his rally, he said, "Isn't it a shame people don't want to hurt people any more?"He actually said that.

I dislike Trump, but the people interrupting Trump supporters' right to assemble are the main problem here.

Supporters have a right to assemble. What they, and their "leader" do not have, is the right to advocate, encourage and espouse violence. Trump has ratcheted up his requests to foment his crowds to commit violence against "outside agitators." Perhaps you have not been following Trump's comments at his rallies.

Protesters (not the Trupmp supporters) are punching police officers.

yes, and trump is egging on the crowd, encouraging people to "take protestors down" or "punch them in the face". This is not how a president behaves (but we already knew that, I guess)

Donald is not fostering an American environment. He's making America divided again..

This photo alone with get Trump more votes than anything else he can say or do.   The idiot protesters are handing him the presidency tonight.

How do you know a protester did that? The violence going on now had its origin in Donald's temperament, bigotry and inflammatory speech. He knows how to sound like a cat, innocent and purring, when asked how this is happening. The man is a sociopath.

A CBS Chicago journalist witnessed it and posted it on Twitter.

That's what happens when you think back wistfully in front of thousands of people to the days when you could punch someone in the face, and ask people to do it. He has unleashed to worst in human nature. We really are doomed now.

Crazy liberals with no self-control can't help themselves, I guess.

Tonight's protest was largely fueled by this incident:

These guys were really a threat - glad Trump threw them out:

A couple of BLM activists staged a protest at a Bernie Sanders rally. Bernie said that if they had something they wanted to say to come up to the mike and say it. Trump indicated that he saw that as an act of weakness.

Now even if a candidate doesn't want to handle it the way Bernie did there are ways to handle protestors without escalating violence. You can make fun of them. You can turn up the mike and ignore them. And if they become disruptive you can ask the police to remove them.

Provoking violence against protestors is wrong. Demonizing people who disagree with you and saying that they are bad people who are hurting the country is at best divisive and at worst hateful. But it is Trump's MO to attack people, whether Mexicans, Muslims or the Chinese. To me it is fascistic.

We can also ask why there are these protests at Trump rallies. They do not appear to happen to Cruz, Rubio or Kasich.

That Trump, so tough. Telling us "I'd like to punch him (the protester) in the face."

The reality is, he's cocooned by a security entourage that pushes and practically hits people out of Trump's way when he enters his building from  the street, as told to me by someone who saw it. If you or I, as a civilian, pushed one of his security people or a cop the way his people do when clearing the path for Trump, you or I would be detained and arrested for assault.

Yeah, such a toughie when surrounded by his armed protective squad.

Good point.

When a Member of Congress yells "you lie" during President Trump's State of the Union will he call on the other Congress members to throw him out?

Trump deliberately foments violence against protesters at his rallies.  The situation is escalating and it becomes more dangerous as emotions are riled up by the images at the rallies.

Hahaha! Crazy liberals! Hahaha!

In this divisive family split it is dave who is correct.

There are some that think it was Trumps plan to have the Chicago Rally erupt in violence and he was intending to cancel all along .  The venue was a city college campus (not typical), crowd was skewed younger, by all accounts no crowd screening was done as has been done elsewhere.  He said police advised cancelling yet Chicago PD said they did not .

People are allowed to protest and to disagree. They are not allowed to put hands on each other, punch, kick, shove and spit. Trump gets these folks all riled up and lets them loose on the public. He knows exactly what he's doing with his folksy sayings, "In my day, they would've carried him out on a stretcher!" That's loaded language to me. And to him. And to us.

Don't know why nobody is talking about this Trump Rally. Watch how out of control the protesters get at about 2:27 in. Trump did the only thing he could, asking the crowd for help getting them removed:

I have never before in my life felt that if a certain candidate won, I would have to flee the country. I seriously feel that way with Trump...but then again, a lot people do. The Canadian government's website nearly crashed recently when so many people tried to find out how to emigrate to Canada:
