Trump's Approval Rating the Lowest since 1975

When President Gerald Ford granted Nixon a full and unconditional pardon for any crimes he may have committed in the Watergate scandal, he harpooned himself.  Ford's approval ratings plunged within Trump's range.  Americans were angry and disappointed after witnessing a White House in crisis and disgrace.  The Nixon White House was exposed as a "Gang of Thugs."

nypost.com:  Trump's Approval Rating the Lowest since 1975

President Trump’s approval ratings have fallen during his first six months in the White House and is the lowest of any chief executive since Gerald Ford in 1975, according to a poll released on Sunday.

Only 36 percent of Americans approve of Trump’s job performance, a 6 percent slide since his administration hit the 100-day mark in April, a Washington Post/ABC News poll showed. His disapproval rating hit 58 percent – an increase of 5 percentage points.

President Ford’s approval rating after six months was at 39 percent in February 1975.

It's depressing that his 36% followers continue to be so disaffected as to tolerate and believe all the bile he spews.

What has he actually accomplished to approve of?  I think his supporters simply approve of chaos.

And despite it all Ford came with in a hairsbreadth, probably one Poland free comment, of election in 1976

It's naively thought of as 'disruption', with no real thought to consequences thereof nor to what the modern business concept of 'disruption' actually was. (It's now moved on, I believe the buzz concept is another version of 'collaboration')

would this be the place to link this article? I'm assuming you've seen similar, and it would explain some of the disappointment...

Dear Emily Post Institute:

I'm very supportive of our president. I stay at his hotels and wear the Trump brand suits and ties. When at the White House I've been complimented on my Trump attire.

I've been invited to the "Made in America" event at the White House.

Would it still be appropriate to wear my Trump attire considering they are labeled "Made in China"?

Please respond. I'm so confused.

Thank you.

Dear NY Post:
How you write headlines matters.  What was Trump's approval rating in 1975?

Trump's rating is the lowest in the history of presidential ratings, totaling some 70 years.

That thought crossed my mind, too, but only for fun. The headline -- "Trump's Approval Rating the Lowest [Rating]," rather than "Trump's Approval Rating the Lowest [It Has Been] -- is fine.

ETA: Nice segue from E. Post to N.Y. Post.
