If you are in Maplewood it is common. They usually wait until they have enough stumps to grind to make a couple days work out of it. Its just more time efficient to do it this way. Plus the tree crew is also the same crew that maintains the parks so they may be busy cleaning leaves in the parks.

My father would slow-burn stumps in our yard. Not quite like that video, but it was effective.

About a month or month and a half ago, the town took down a tree on my berm. However, they still haven't been back to grind the stump. Is this normal? Or should I put another ticket in? I don't want to be that annoying person if they eventually take care of it but I also don't want a tree stump sitting on my berm forever.
