Today June 18 - What is the all day and now evening festival going on at Memorial Park - music still going strong

Not a rant. Just curious and could not find the info elsewhere (I looked really!). Saw the fencing this AM. Hope all had a good time! Thanks.

Now there is fireworks from that direction.  Did we miss July 4th?

I think it's a Juneteenth celebration. Which seems to be triggering a lot of white people in SOMA. Poor babies. 

Great fireworks and I was able to watch them from my bed really! 

We were there -- it was a great evening, and the fireworks display was much bigger than we anticipated (with perhaps the best grand finale I have ever seen!)

Sounds like the only poor white baby triggered is you.

Some of the people on the “SOMA Rants” group on the Facebook seemed to be bothered. 

The event was not well publicized. Fortunately I got home just in time to see the firewroks which were great.

Nice to know we could finance the celebration. Can we finance the Fourth of July celebration (and give sufficient advance notice)?

Are folks here not subscribers to the Village Green?  (You should be!)  They had articles on both the Juneteenth Celebration and plans for July 4th.

trolling dies in sunlight. 

My foster puppy was not a fan, but I think he's convinced that his 30 minutes of barking nonstop is what got the fireworks to finally stop.
