Took me forever but I got it! I was missing one four letter word.

was it cicely? ...Cicely Tyson came to mind, of course, but I never would have guessed "cicely" as a word

I got cicely just as a wild guess and then had to look it up, but I was far from QB yesterday. Today is not looking likely either...

It was!
Very lucky streak. Second-to-last word was a guess and the last was a head-slapper. QB X 5
got an early QB today. Good day to go for it. A few quirky words but nothing really obscure. I'm on a pretty good run. Six out of the last nine days

those quirky words must be the ones I'm missing...down 3 and likely to end up there today
Got the QB again today. Had to go back a few times to get the last word. I don't think it's legit given all the similar words they don't allow. But I got it so I can't complain.
My last word yesterday was "voilà." It seems totally arbitrary which words with foreign language origins are included. "Amaro" and "viva" are not. But "voilà" is.
Go figure.

my only missing word yesterday was "vocalic" ... and speaking of foreign words, the day before I was surprised they didn't accept "pignoli"

just got QB too after being stuck at QB -1 for much of the morning and early afternoon
three words short at the moment. I'm going to keep trying today. Feels like a day to go for it
Finally hit QB for yesterday - the last word just appeared to me early this morning. Today mostly went fast, but now stuck at -2.

today is a day where playing the SB for so long is paying off. My 2nd to last word was one I learned from the game
Ha, got the last one. I don't get out enough to actually know what it is, but it shows up on SB and/or crossword.

Me too. I guessed at one word beginning with an "n", but I'm told it is not that uncommon.
QB for me too. I must admit that the hints about unusual words here helped.
