Tech hacks to make life and work easier

Hi - for an upcoming meeting, we have been asked to share any apps or computer tricks that make our jobs and lives easier. I thought it was a good question to share with you for thoughts. One that I had is to create Pinterest secret boards for projects - can be used to collect inspiring colors and photos for personal events like a wedding or for work projects when you want a "mood board" for packaging ideas for example. What do you say?

My number one secret trick is....

BACK UP YOUR PHONE - ESPECIALLY YOUR PICTURES!!!

Pay for the iCloud storage, use Google Photos for pictures. For goodness sake, do something.

This is a pretty good page for tech hacks - learned a few things:

Here's a few interesting tips from there:

- When booking flights or hotels online, clear cookies before you start looking, or shop in Incognito mode, for lower prices.

- If you buy a product on Amazon, and there is a price drop within 7 days, you can get a refund on the price difference.

- If your printer is out of black ink, change the font color to #010101 for 99% grey.

- The best type of music to work to is a video game soundtrack because they are designed to not mess with your focus.

This is great. I particularly liked:

- To quickly change the case (upper vs. lower) of text in Microsoft Word, highlight the phrase, then hit Shift + F3. Changes cycle through all lowercase, first letter capitalized, and all in uppercase.

- To re-open an accidentally closed browser tab, use Ctrl / Cmd + Shift + T.

- Hitting the Spacebar scrolls down a web page; hitting the Spacebar + Shiftlets you scroll back up.

Me neither and I've been hitting the space bar to scroll down ever since Netscape 1.something.

I reached your post by trying it out, then exclaimed same!

Save money on ink. Use Garamond. Century Gothic, or Courier fonts. Times New Roman is OK. Don't print in Arial or Helvetica.

Shift+Spacebar scrolls up a webpage...

Great, but what scrolls it down?
