(hmm, mine says 50 days, not 49)

weird - I used the same page - and it said 49 when I posted it.

I guess someone has to count it out on an actual calendar. cheese

Looks like the difference is 12am vs 12pm.

What time does Trump actually get on the helicopter - or the time Joe gets sworn in?

cheese

If you had checked with me, I would have asked my Mom, who has the "Trump Out-of-Office Countdown Calendar" I gave her last Christmas.

It is 44 days, 20 hours, 0 minutes, 16 seconds

can you set a countdown clock?

There was a funny meme showing a moving van which made me obsessed with the idea of the actual move. How does it work? Do I get to see the royal couple with their suitcases?  Does security get to check the van?

Is there a scene such as the one in Game of Thrones where the crowd will scream "shame shame shame"?

I'd like a little drama.

I  Found this article in USA Today. It actually gets right to the heart of what you were wondering about.

https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/elections/2020/12/07/inauguration-day-bidens-move-into-white-house-complicated-covid/6250096002/

Good article and answered a few questions.

I suspect Melania will start moving her things out earlier. While Trump is dragging his feet in denial I imagine she is mortified and wants to get out of the spotlight. She didn't seem to like the White House and probably just wants to forget the whole experience. Or maybe its me who wants to move her out quickly so I can forget the whole experience.

Well she got the tennis courts fixed up, so there's that!

I could see Donald being spiteful and ordering that absolutely nothing be done until Biden is sworn in. Although it sounds like he might not even be there and will instead take Air Force One to Florida to have a rally announcing his 2024 bid at the same time as the inauguration.

I guess it doesn't matter if he's there or not. If the President says don't change anything until his term is actually over, that order is probably in force.

If I was Joe Biden I'd have a plan in place for staying somewhere else the night of the 20th in case Trump leaves a bigger mess than expected.

He should stay at Trump's hotel and stiff him for the bill.

Biden should not move in until the WH has been thoroughly fumigated. He also has to be rid of the chief usher, a Trump appointee from one of his hotels.

Even after fumigation, he should replace the presidents oval office chair. Why would someone use a chair that some fat åss has been farting on for years?

Did you even ever know there was such a thing as a chief usher?

Trump can't use Air Force 1 on inauguration day because it has to be ready for Biden at noon.

Or maybe at noon they hand him a parachute?

 Or trash the place

What's the chances he drops a bomb somewhere soon?  50/50?

I feel like there should be a special advent calendar leading up to the 20th.

There aren’t enough liqueur chocolates, sorry cheese

The pardons he's doling out are revolting. I don't know what I was expecting. Especially those four Blackwater contractors that killed unarmed Iraqi civilians.

I'm not sure what Robert Mueller is thinking right now as he watches the convictions he worked for get overturned.

If you buy one of those chocolate-a-day Advent calendars on sale, the day after Christmas, you can count down the 25 days to the Inauguration.

I hope he feels miserable, because he did a piss-poor job at that investigation

I doubt he feels anything.  His overly idealistic view of the law led to him taking a coward's way out in the report.  Well now the same law he holds in such high regard has permitted the undoing of his convictions.

It wasn't the law that prevented him from bringing trump to justice, it was the DOJ interpretation of the law. And you are right, coward is the right word for him.

23 days, pass me one of those liquor filled chocolates please.
