The South Orange Elks Rent Party Garden is producing!
This week we delivered 44 pounds and 84 servings of kale, peas, peppers, spinach, chard, carrot, and lettuce to the food pantries at Our Lady of Sorrows in South Orange and St. Joseph’s in Maplewood.
Many thanks to our volunteers who made this happen: Ellen, Isadora, Olivia, Mary, Gabe, Chris, Tracey, and Tom. Thanks also to Olivia and Tracey for donating lettuce and carrots from their own gardens.
If you'd like to volunteer or donate any extra produce from your own garden, please contact me at klrutberg@aol.com.
Our regular volunteer hours are:
Wednesdays 7 pm: Weed, Wine, Water
Saturdays 8 am: Harvest
All ages and abilities are welcome.
