Someone to repair a double hung window sash cord?

This now "guillotine" window is unsafe and must be repaired or replaced, preferably repaired.

I've repaired them in old home we had in Massachusetts. Can you remove the piece of window frame trim on the sides to get access to the access pocket? That's the first step.
