This isn’t news to anyone. I can’t bear to see her face or hear her speak. Her straight-faced lies, whataboutism, and avoidance is out of this world. If I were to encounter her in public I would unload on her with every insult I could think of.
She is one of a long list of paid liars........Stretches back to Nixon and his lap dog Ron Ziegler. When confronted with information that his statements were lies.....he would simply refer to the statement and say " that information is no longer operative"
Surprised he did not go to jail with the rest of that crew
As this administration’s spokes person she’s incredibly good at her job. If her job is to lie and obfuscate. She’s unapologetic and tenacious. She’s really something. Trump must love her.
Sanders is utterly unlike any prez press secretary that we've ever had. She is not a case of the same ol' same ol'. Pretty much every statement she says is meant to mislead, divert or obfuscate.
It's upsetting to see people think that she's just like every other press sec'y. As if this administration simply lies the way all politicians lie.
she's been good for Aidy Bryant.
Sadly, whatever now appears to be the worst is almost certainly not the worst. These folks have an almost infinite capacity to $#!+ the bed.
Yes, for every day of the Trumpers, all we see is the worst so far.
Tomorrow is always worse.

She says she's an Evangelical Christian. Maybe she's doing this for the for the Lord.
The one who worries me is Mick Mulvaney. He's the most credible-sounding of the bunch.
I agree 100%. She is a stone-faced cold-blooded liar and it's exactly what Trump wants in his spokesperson.

Linguists will tell you she strains to not sound like she's from Arkansas, further straining her awful delivery.

There are people for whom the cloak of religiosity covers all manner of evil acts.
I believe that Sarah is under the same "spell" as Pence, as profiled in Jan/Feb Atlantic:
"What critics should worry about is not that Pence believes in god, but that he seems so certain god believes in him."
"...the vice president believes in the scriptural concept evangelicals call 'servant leadership.' (my bold) The idea is rooted in the Gospels, where Jesus models humility by washing his disciples' feet and teaches, 'whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must be your slave.' "
"...he believed he was committing to humbly submit to the will of Donald Trump's. Servant leadership is biblical..."
"Christ is under god's authority, man is under Christ's authority, children are under their parents', employees are under the employer's authority."
Can we stop referring to Evangelicals as Christians?

There are some truly Christian people out there who identify as Evangelical. There's a specific subculture and type of Evangelicals who engage in the rhetoric of hatred and repression of anyone unlike them. Please don't lump all Evangelicals in to the same group as Pence and Sanders.
I think the worst examples of many kinds of people are the ones who get a lot of press.

Almost all then. The subculture you described is the main culture. A vast majority of Evangelicals heartily support Trump.
Several weeks ago, I've watched an Evangelical on TV. He praised God or the Lord Jesus (I forget which) for putting Trump on the Throne of America, followed by joyful shouts of agreement.
So, where are the "decent" Evangelicals decrying this beast slouching over the White House? They are so very quiet. Where are they?
ps - Evangelicals were pretty loud blaming natural disasters on Obama when he was president. God's punishment because we elected the godless.
We now have the Evangelicals braying over Trumps ascension. Hallelujah. A new Golden Age.
Now we have horrible floods, horrible hurricanes and pestilence (an extraordinary foul flu season). This is our Golden age?
I understand what you’re saying and I shouldn’t lump them all together. The ones in my family are from the same cloth as Sanders and Pence, so lately I’m having a hard time viewing any of them in a positive light. They actually believe that 9/11 attacks were God’s punishment.
Do the GOOD Evangelicals and Christians also want to run my life, using the gub'mint to tell me what I can and can't do?
"Servant leadership" isn't a strictly evangelical concept. It's explicitly laid out as a specific part of Seton Hall's Catholic mission, for example.

They're sitting with the decent Muslims, all wondering why it's the extremists who always get the press coverage.
I will try to not judge all Evangelical Christians by the rhetoric and actions of Pence, Sanders or those others and I will hope that Evangelical Christians will not judge all Muslims by the actions of Osama Bin Laden.
Sarah Huckabee Sanders makes my blood boil. Its the apparent contempt she has for the press, for the Democrats, for anything other.
Her facial expressions, the sneer and the tone of voice broadcast her disdain. I am most offended when she insists that all of this is what the American voters wanted. Totally ignoring our voices and our votes.
With all the firing, I keep hoping that she and the obnoxious Kelly Anne Conway go. I was hopeful after the Bannon oust, as Kelly Anne came in with him.
I really like our press secretary who presents a no-nonsense, direct report of the DC day. Standing up to the majority liberal press anxious to box her in or get a gotcha moment would be daunting for anyone. She does not suffer fools gladly — and gives as good as she gets.
26% of Americans are considered evangelical - that is f*ing scary! Has the US always been this nuts?

Too bad she doesn't use the most basic way of avoiding gotcha moments and being boxed in, which is to just tell the truth.
Of course you do. The woman stands up there every day and supports a man with dozens of credible accusations of sexual harassment and assault, a man who admitted on tape to sexually assaulting women indeed, a man who cruised the dressing rooms of teen beauty pageants hoping to see little girls with their tops off.
She's your kind of people. Deplorable.
White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said Tuesday that the White House’s personnel security office’s investigation into former aide Rob Porter was still underway last week when he resigned amid allegations of domestic abuse, even though she said at Monday’s news briefing the process was handled by law enforcement.
“The White House personnel security office, staffed by career officials, received information last year in what they considered to be the final background investigation report in November,” Sanders said. “But they had not made a final recommendation for adjudication to the White House because the process was still ongoing when Rob Porter resigned.”
That explanation differed dramatically from the one Sanders offered at Monday’s briefing, when she told reporters that the process of issuing a security clearance “doesn't operate within the White House. It's handled by our law enforcement and intelligence community.”
The press secretary also said Monday that the clearance process for Porter was "handled by our law enforcement and intelligence community" and that it "hadn't been completed" when he resigned last week.
I guess you've changed your view of such things.
A lot of confusion over the comments by President Obama at the Rose Garden press conference just after the Benghazi murders was raised at last night's debate. If what was said regarding "acts of terror" could have also referred to the Benghazi incident. -- quite a stretch in my view -- why in the world did the president and his team persist in repeating over and over that it was the video which triggered it?The video story was discredited hours after the killings and subsequently by those investigating it in DC.
Does mtierney really believe the things she posts? I go back and forth on this question.
Serious question - Why do people even watch Sanders' press conferences?
