Ryobi electric mower repair

My three year old Ryobi electric mower quit (yes, the batteries are fully charged).  P&P and McManus do not repair electric mowers.  Can anyone please suggest a place to call?  Thank you!

We had a Ryobi gas powered power head for the Expand It system.  When it worked my husband loved it.  But then it died after less than two years.  My husband had already purchased ALL the attachments, so he purchased a second power head.  That one also broke after less than two years.  P&P looked at it (ours was gas, not electric) and said it would cost more to repair it than to replace it.  Husband wanted to buy another since "we already have all the attachments" but I told him I was tired of using disposable equipment since Ryobi obviously wasn't making lawn equipment that was meant to last.  We now use Stihl, and I tell anyone using Ryobi to save their money and not bother with those cheap products anymore.

It sucks, and I understand the frustration since we're on a tight budget and these things aren't cheap, but in my opinion repairing or replacing a Ryobi is just throwing good money after bad.

I think Ryobi is low end stuff. I guess it pays to spend more on a unit.

I have a black and decker corded mower. It seems pretty light duty, but it hasn't quit on me. There's less to go wrong with a corded model. But you do have to mow carefully.

I used to have a corded mower before it died...and every year, I had to buy three extension cords to replace the ones I ran over.

On the other hand regarding Ryobi brand, -I have a Ryobi miter saw and also orbital sander that I have beat the hell out of and still going strong. Maybe I'm just lucky.

As to the mower, - try checking on YouTube before you despair. At least might gain useful information.

I start close to the outlet and then zigzag, moving away.

To get back to trying to help the OP, go online to Ryobi.  They will list service centers that you can contact.

Or contact Home Depot, since I believe they own the Ryobi brand.

Thank you!

Try One Stop Repairs on Burnett behind the Walgreens.  I'm sure you will find it by googling.  Call first, I know he does electric stuff but perhaps not a mower.  Just know  he's not open every day so may not get back to you same day.

Good idea!

But the product is 100% Home Depot.

Sold through hd, but not owned by them.

Thanks for the suggestions - the man at One Stop Repairs said he'd take a look at it.  It wasn't even on my radar until #Red_Barchetta idea.  So thank you!

One Stop Repairs was the answer.  He fixed it for $50!

Wow, that's great. Ralph has done lots of excellent repairs for me, and we have referred clients to each other. What did it end up needing?
