If you don't want to encounter unleashed dogs I would avoid the Reservation all together. Unfortunately, there are many selfish dog owners that don't realize breaking the law interferes with others enjoying the Reservation.
Thanks for the advice. The res is so close - it was part of the reason we moved here. Not being able to mountain bike or run there is a bummer.
Biking is banned in the Reservation. Of course running, walking, hiking are all fine but you need to deal with others that use the park as well.
You could try walking your dog in the res with a group of people or bringing some kind of protection such as a spray to ward off unleashed dogs.
Although it is banned, I'm sure you've seen numerous MTB tire tracks. For a local running community check out these folks.
Yep, I see the MTB tracks with envy.
The group thing is a good idea. I will check out the link. I think having other people in front of or behind me might sooth my nerves a bit.

Looking for recommendations on where I can run with my dog on leash. I currently run starting at the Locust Grove entrance however she and I seem to keep getting charged by off leash dogs. We saw six dogs this morning, two charged us - only one growled aggressively and the owner said it was because she was a puppy, the others didn't bother us. However I have to stop mid-run for people to gather their dogs. Plus, because I was attacked by two dogs at the same time when I was a teen, I am sensitive & cannot seem to turn off my initial fear of off leash dogs (which I believe the dogs can sense).
I am hoping to find someplace to run near Millburn. Any recommendations would be appreciated. Recommendations for how to deal with fear of off leash dogs for that matter would be appreciated too.
