Ross: Not a single hint of a protester in Saudi Arabia! Not a single guy with a "bad placard!" What a great country!

Everything is orderly in a theocracy that decapitates its citizens in public.

What do  you think? Does he truly not understand the difference between SA and USA? Or does he simply prefer autocracy-kleptocracy-theocracy-tyranny?

Were any women allowed in that center with the glowing ball other than his wife and daughter? He was so delighted hovering over that  ball like it was the Magic Eight Ball of his childhood. He expected it to predict the future. I kept hoping he would see the word impeachment.

I think he has no clue.

Circus, Circus, Circus except he's still going for now. We lost the real one recently!

Maybe there should be a required orientation for a newly elected president, VP, cabinet members, Senators, and MOCs. "Introduction to U.S. Government."

Maybe they should have to pass a 6th Grade Social Studies test.

we actually do run an Orientation course (a week or so) for new MPs and Cabinet ministers to learn Parliamentary procedures, government processes, how their Department functions, how  Departments interact with other Departments and other agencies, how the government interacts with other governments... I thought all modern democracies do...

The short-sightedness of thinking that non-pols are somehow "pure" rather than uninformed or unqualified is a hallmark of this incompetent administration. It's obvious that DJT thought he was being elected CEO of a private company, accountable to no one. His tantrums result from disappointment that he's not "the boss."

They do, but I don't think it covers such basic ideas as: the U.S. is a democracy, dissent is part of our culture, and the president is not omniscient.

There is, in fact, an ethics orientation. Trump's WH team refused to take it.

Well put.

Congress is not doing its job of checking the White House, but thank goodness the judiciary branch is doing a bangup job for the time being.

You missed my point. Joanne said "modern democracies". The U.S. does not fit that category.

Get a fresh can of West Wing skid grease and a banana peel ASAP!  Wilbur Ross is on the outs for snoring during Trump speeches.  (Is it wrong that I’m laughing?)  I say give the guy a break; he’s at least 80-years-old.  I think what’s really got Trump steamed is that Ross claimed to be richer than he actually is.  We simply cannot have billionaire cabinet members fudging their net worth in this fashion.  Any day now Ross will be rolled out in the infamous Paul Ryan grandma wheelchair.   grrr

Wilbur won't see any protesters at Davos either. Hope no one tells him protesters can't get close to the affair.

Who among us hasn't pilfered a few packets of Sweet'N from restaurants?  In the words of Ratso Rizzo in the 1969 film Midnight Cowboy:  "Well, if it's free, then I ain't stealin'."   grrr    question
