Roofing

Hello all,

I would like to know which is the best roofing material for longevity. We are about to replace our roofing with a new one and I need your suggestions for that. I have got a list of roofing products http://www.rooflines.com/products/slate-roofing/ , in this I happened to hear that slate roofing lasts longer and are durable. But I don't have any first hand experience with them, so I would like to get your opinions. Which one do you have in your home?? Which roofing is the best by all means??

I will be replacing my roof soon as well and have been researching options

Slate will last long but its expensive and very heavy, the new composites have 50 yr warranties are made to look like slate or tiles, then you have standard asphalt with it looks like 25 yr

I found a pretty nice tile look composite that i am very interested in as my house will lose its character if i go with a standard shingle look check out www.onduvilla-usa.com My estimate for this was not as painful as I thought

best material is metal roofing... at least 50yr warranty
