Radiator Covers

Jonathan Ney of Maplewood was mentioned in this forum as a source for custom made radiator covers. If any one knows how to reach him, I appreciate receiving the information.

Mark Goodman is another source.

I'm also looking for someone to build me new radiator covers. Any contact information for Mark Goodman?

by the way, I know him personally.   He is truly gifted and a really great guy.

FYI - from an expert heating plumber:

"If that were my houseI'd junk the covers. Most of these things are so poorly designed that they seriously reduce the radiators' output- some by as much as 33%. They also collect dust , and can hide leaks. If you're in a situation where you absolutely must use covers, cutting vent grilles in their tops will help a lot."

Some covers increase radiator output by influencing convection. Originally, covers were designed to decrease output. These days, they're generally designed just to look prettier than the radiators they hide and help keep kids from burning themselves, but that usually amounts to decreasing output.

Thanks to every one who posted an answer. I will contact Mr. Goodman since no one seems to know Jonathan Ney.

Mark Goodman is no longer taking orders since he is moving out of town. Do you know another

person who makes radiator covers in this area? Thanks
