how about the entire property line? I want to pt a fence up. I heard it is about 300 every few feet?
If the Surveyor who did your Survey Map is still in business, he/she will probably stake corners for you at $100 to $175 per stake.
If your fence contractor is, as they should be, concerned about the property line, he may be able to work from your current Survey Map even if there are no stakes.
You should check your Survey Map to see if stakes are indicated as being present. Keep in mind that "stakes" refer to metal pins 6-8 inches under the surface so if the stakes are reported you may have to explore a little.
You may want to call the building dept on where the fence belongs. IIRC you cannot put a fence right on the property line - but a few inches in.
Regulations differ depending on where the property is located. You absolutely should check with the code enforcement department serving your municipality before proceeding to determine what you can or cannot do regarding fencing. Check your property record card. It may indicate where your property lines are in relation to your neighbors.
