procedures for November elections?

IMHO, the state is waiting too long to mail out the ballots.  The USPS is f'd up.  Why wait until October to send out ballots.

On the other hand, in addition to voting for president and congress, there are the local elections, including the school board election.  Both school board election candidate debates are not scheduled until October 8th and October 12th respectively.  In a year when in person campaigning is next to impossible, local voters who care about the school system will likely wait until after one or both of these debates to cast their ballot.  Drop boxes are supposed to have their contents collected daily and there is always the option of handing your ballot to a poll worker on election day.  As long as we receive our ballots before election day, I don't think the extra week will matter much if it takes some of the pressure off of our local post office, which is located in Union County and thus has to deal with two rounds of ballot delivery.

Will all the local polls be open on election day?

On one hand, I worry about in person virus exposure. On the other hand, there is a vacant store in Maplewood village. I would sure like to be able to go into that store and buy an oz. of Acapulco Gold.

--- gotta make sure my vote is counted.

I know I use my full middle name on signing in at the polls. The website only lists my middle initial.

Definitely vote by mail using a drop box...

I hope that the requirement for where you can drop off a ballot is well-communicated. I could easily see lots of people thinking they could drop it off anywhere and maybe using a box in the town where they work, for instance.

No. I can’t recall where I came upon this information, so don’t take it to the bank, but I believe that voters will be mailed a postcard telling them where their polling station on Nov. 3 will be.

The county website’s Where to Vote page says it will be updated on Monday.
