Police activity at SOMS

Anyone know what's up? Road blocked, lots of cops, helicopter overhead

 Per Village Green, a woman who reportedly is a parent of a SOMS student was hit by a car on Ridgewood in front of the school.  No word yet on her condition.

I haven't heard any more about this. Any word about her condition or how it happened?

VP SHeena Collum reported that the woman is in stable condition. That's all I got!

On Facebook a person who witnessed what happened said that the driver had her cellphone up to her face as she drove and the pedestrian  was crossing at the crosswalk but then left the crosswalk to walk at an angle. 

The woman that was hit posted on Facebook that she will recover and thanked the community for their support.
