Peeling bathtub: what to do?

Previous owners did a quick fix on the green cast iron tub in the upstairs bath. It appears that they either painted it (white) or had it glazed badly. Almost immediately, the white started peeling and more and more of the green is revealing itself (actually I would have preferred the green to this!) Does anyone know of anyone who could remove the white paint and then re-glaze the tub properly?? It is cast iron and large so I am not considering removing and replacing. Of course, they painted the wall tiles too but don't get me started on that....TIA.

this topic has been discussed before, try searching Keep in mind it's not possible to "re-glaze" a tub, it's an epoxy based paint that will never be even remotely as durable as the factory finish. If this is a bath you use regularly, suggest not re-painting, but replace when budget allows

http://www.aprefinishing.com/ That would be the ideal solution

Look up a company called Mr. Ugly. They will re-glaze. From my understanding, it's a stop gap and usually lasts anywhere from 5-7 years.
