P.O. Box for a Specific NYT Carrier

The holiday tip I mailed to my carrier, Julio Zambrano, was returned by the post office for being undeliverable. I thought I may have miswritten the box number, but today Mr. Zambrano included a photocopied note with the newspaper saying he’d been having problems receiving tips sent through the company and gave his mailing address again — the same P.O. box that I had used and that was rejected.

If my return was a one-off mistake by the USPS, I’ll try resending. If other customers experienced this, though, I’ll visit the post office and see if I can get a correct box number.

Don't know if this has any connection but not long ago, our carrier sent us a notice saying that someone was attempting to scam customers by having them send tips to the wrong address.

Thanks for the heads-up, bub. In this case, both notices with the address were inserted inside the paper, which was folded inside the bag, with the carrier’s correct name, so I’m confident this is legit.

Slightly off-topic (sorry!), but we got a new carrier a while back and find that the paper arrives, in general, much later than it used to. I don't want to get the carrier in trouble, but if it's an issue of the carriers not getting the paper in time, I would complain to the NYT. Anyone else not getting their paper early enough to read it in the morning?

Our carrier tends to come quite late but like her predecessor, she gave us her cell and asked us to use that for complaints.  They lose money when complaints go straight to the NYT.  She is responsive to direct calls.  We've lowered our expectations on the delivery time and call only when its absurdly late.
