OT for Handwriting recommendation wanted

Looking for help for my 12 yo son's handwriting. He is slightly dysgraphic, and his handwriting is awful - though he says it's my old eyes that can't read it. Any suggestions on where to re-teach handwriting? Please don't tell me about what the district should/shouldn't do (they won't). I'm hoping for an outside service. Thanks!

You can buy Handwriting Without Tears and DIY. Or you can go on their website and look for certified specialists.

I saw two listed for West Orange, and maybe more around here too.

At around that age, we decided to pay or keyboarding lessons for my daughter, rather than a second round of handwriting work. I can't remember the name of the OT place we worked with in Livingston, but they certainly do both handwriting and keyboarding. I can look it up if useful, but not right now.

Guessing it was Pediatric Potentials http://www.pediatricpotentialsnj.com/

Yes, that was it. Thanks!

went through same thing with district, etc. fairly recently. used
Movewell in florham park, which was thankfully mostly covered by insurance.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Positive Steps in Livingston!

I'm reviving this thread to ask the OP who they went with.

If he has an actual fine motor skill issue, just using Handwriting without Tears alone would not help much, he needs actual hand exercises and accommodations like specific pencil grips, etc
