$349 for 64GB with those specs? Still going to wait to see what the Moto X+1 and Nexus 6 is going to look like later this year. Ordinarily I wouldn't consider a first year product but evidently its built in the same plant as the Oppo. And the only advantage I've always thought the iPhone had over every other phone was its camera. This phone uses the same Sony camera so problem solved.
It is Android like any other phone. Just as you have Sense (HTC) or TouchWiz (Samsung), this will have Cynogen's take on Android. Its not rooted, this was a condition for them to get Google Play and all of the standard Google apps on the phone.
@dos_centavos - do you still need an invitation to buy one? If so, do you have an invitation to pass on? My tech savvy son would LOVE to buy one of these, but has been unable to order one due to their social-networking-type sales approach.
@dos_centavos - I am very interested in your experience and I would love an invitation as well. I am ready to ditch my iPhone and head over to android-type devices. I will only buy unlocked phones at this point and this looks great for international travel etc. Will you use AT&T?
It is cyanogenmod - but that's not a bad thing. Cyanogen is very close to stock android with some actually nice added features. Not like touchwiz or sense. It's a nice phone at a good price - but I'm still very happy with the Nexus 5 for now.
I've had the phone for a few days and it is AWESOME. I did have some issues with getting data and 4G on AT&T's network but that has been resolved. I'm still getting used to Cyanogen OS. Its close to pure android and its different, in a good way.
I was actually a "Storm of Invites" winner and got the phone. I am suppose to get 5 (3 initially and 2 for delays) invites but don't know when. They are already spoken for but if they are available when I get them, I will come back to the board.
