That's great. I have really enjoyed his local appearances, including a concert at SoPac, a talk at Maplewood Library and a surprise performance at a CHS benefit concert for the Achieve Foundation. He is hugely talented.
He is also in the cast of "Mercy Street" - a PBS series set during the Civil War. Hopefully the series will return. He plays a hospital doctor and his character brings some comic relief in a brutal time.
He managed to make his character on "Bloodlines" compelling almost right to the end, despite plot twists that were massive shark-jumps. How did he do that?? Go, NLB!
He'll be back on Broadway next year in Lincoln Center's revival of My Fair Lady. I think he's playing Eliza Doolittle's father. Very much looking forward to this!
I thought that the individual performances out-shined the plot throughout the whole series. It was nice to have a series based in the Keys also.

I'm sure many of you are familiar with Norbert Leo Butz's work on Bloodline and on Broadway. Youtube just suggested a video to me since I had listened to Big Fish in the past - - a behind the scenes look at the recording of the sound track. Check out minute 1:00 on this video. The tee shirt.
