We had a graduation celebration on our street. A passing police car changed course and came towards us. The officer flashed the lights and slowed down. He then stopped and chatted with the graduate. It was a nice "community relations" moment. The parents were very pleased.
It sounded like officers were driving around visiting any gatherings they could find.
Most of us were properly wearing masks and thankfully we had finished setting off sparklers.
