 The pills or the milk?

i actually liked the walgreens vanilla pills better.  Target (vauxhall) is saying they have  stock.

I wonder why?  And I hope it isn't long lasting.  If we are talking about the tablets, I usually just get a month's supply at a time via my Amazon subscription.  I guess we'll see if it comes next time.

If it's the milk it is probably because people who don't ordinarily purchase lactaid milk are buying whatever milk they can get their hands on these days.

If it's the pills maybe some celebrity said that COVID-19 is killed by the lactase enzyme.

If someone is lactose intolerant is almond, cashew or soy milk an option?

These are all vegetable based liquids.  Not sure how they would work in recipes calling for milk or if they would have the same level of calcium as can be found in cow's milk.

 Milk, itself

Have you tried the A2 milk--Kings has had it in stock pretty consistently. Somehow works for lactose intolerant people because it doesn't contain a certain enzyme.

They are fine. I use them for everything. The internet is filled with vegan recipes using plant based substitutes, as a matter of fact I have a vegan thread  on MOL with some great recipes that @joanne often contributes to. I use egg replacements as well.  It's listed as Vegan The Crossroad of Food and Politics.

Silk Protein Almond & Cashew is very creamy and high in protein. Most are calcium fortified and you skip the cholesterol and save the life of a calf.

Big fan of Oatly oat milk, for everyday use (cereal) and baking--the original dark blue container, not the awful low fat version. It also has a long shelf life, which helps cut down on grocery trips. It's a little pricey, though.

I sent you a message.

Yes, but it's much more expensive and many people (myself included) do not like the taste of those products.

Same as Lactaid milk - The enzyme is lactase which breaks down lactose (milk sugar) in the digestion process. Personally, I don't like the taste of Lactaid milk, so I just take the Lactaid pills and then enjoy my regular milk (and ice cream) and am happy.  For whatever reason, I don't have any problem with cheese or yogurt.  Only milk and ice cream.

Kings on  Morris Ave had plenty of Lactaid just now, 1 p.m. on Sunday, 4/26
