Need a contractor for bathroom remodel

I'm looking for recommendations for a reliable and efficient contractor to remodel 2 bathrooms.

Eddie Cevallos at Atlantic Concepts. He did our kitchen last year and he and his crew did an amazing job. Great to work with.

I've used several contractors over the past 2 years. I found Tico's easy to work with and they did a good job (fixed one thing I was not entirely happy with, without any fuss). I've heard good things about Clayton, Jarak, and Bob Hume (but have never used any of them). PM me for two contractors to not use (one was a complete disaster and the others work was shoddy).

John's done much work for me - bath, kitchen, flooring. He's pretty much finished with kitchen, next week beginning on a large job rebuilding garage/terrace. He's an MOL advertiser, but doesn't post much. If you're on Facebook look up his Clayton Contracting page for lots of pics.

Just chiming in here to piggyback on OP. I've have 5 contractors out here in the last week to give me estimates for a bathroom renovation (total gut job): Reliable Remodling, Eddie at Thompson, Eddie at Atlantic Concepts, Leeor at Zorel Group, and David Kasdan. I really like a couple of them and if all estimates come in in the same ball park I will have a hard time choosing based on my first impressions with these guys. I see Eddie Olivera recommended a lot here and Leeor has a rec up top, but if anyone else could chime in with their experiences with any of these guys I would really appreciate it. I have to say Eddie at Atlantic came off as incredibly thorough, professional and affable. Leeor also struck me as a great, trustworthy hard worker committed to doing a good job. Hope I can get some more info from yinz guys.

We used Jarek for a bathroom remodel and were very happy. Bathroom looks great, loved the team, and came in at budget and on time.

Be careful, because from talking to people with these kinds of projects you get what you pay for. If someone estimate is way under everyone else, don't necessarily jump at it. We've had friends that have had to bring people in to fix the work of cheap contractors.

@als4532, my experience with David Kasdan was he gave us an estimate which we accepted. For a few months he said he would start in a few weeks then he stopped responding and we never heard from him again. It would not have been a problem if he decided to take a bigger project or whatever and told us, but his failure to ever communicate that he wouldn't do the job was not professional. For a reliable contractor with great work and communication, I like Dave Greene of D Greene Construction.

This is how we felt about them too. He and his crew did our kitchen for us last year.

for each contractor I suppose everybody has a different experience...for our home addition.Dave Greene said he would give us an estimate took our drawings and never heard back from him... also I found Jarek was very critical of the drawings saying it could not be done a certain way, which we did and it was fine and we also did not hear back from him after many attempts.

Yes terminator3 I had many contractors fail to give estimates or respond to questions but this went beyond that since Kasdan gave me several dates over the course of several months when he would start the work by and then stopped communicating altogether.

For what its worth I had Kasdan in for an estimate in October and have yet to hear back from him, after several tries to get in touch I gave up.

We had four (yes four) bathrooms done in the last few years by Chris and Dave Caputo at G&L and Sons, Cedar Grove. We couldnt be more pleased. (They also finished our basement, garage, and installed an elevator).

We started the process of calling contractors for bathroom renovations . Very disappointed with Eddie from Atlantic concepts we heard good things about him and called for him to come over . First time he had to cancel and today never showed up after confirmed he was coming today and has not responded to my email . Will try Jarek next .

Don't be disappointed this is common for all contractors.
