Name That Guy

In the spirit of the recent music posts, I thought this group might be able to identify the fellow second from left in this photo.  The father of a friend's boyfriend was a VP at Cashbox, and they are going through his old photos.  So far no one's been able to ID this guy.  I'm confident MOLers are up to the challenge.

Do you know who any of the other three are?

The guy on the right is the Cashbox VP, father of my friend's boyfriend.  Other than that, no.

Embarrassingly, I think I do. I think it's the Bay City Rollers' Les McKeown.

Less embarrassing is that I actually met these guys when they were staying in South Orange.

Thanks, there is certainly a resemblance.  My friend thinks the picture is from the 1969-71 range, which would predate BCR hitting the charts by a few years.

If this was 1969, Les McKeown would have been 14.

From the start, I thought that fellow looked like he was in his 30s, which has been narrowing my (so far fruitless) guesses to performers who had been around for a while.

looks a little like a young Roger Waters

And given the apparent age, I’m wondering if he’s someone who was in artist management or some other business role, and not necessarily a performer.

In case this helps get others’ juices flowing, here’s where my thoughts have been heading: an older guy for the time, more on the pop/Top 40 side (based on the duds and Cashbox connection) and a solo act or frontman (based on the photo op).

I‘ve been looking up the likes of Tommy Roe, Mark Lindsay, Andy Kim — and am discovering that even they weren’t yet in their 30s by then. (Good lord, even Cliff Richard was barely that old.) Which is making me lean even more toward a non-performer.

The width of the ties and the aviator glasses are making me think a couple years later than 1971.

^^^ True, and the plaid pants.

Is it Andy Kim?

Looks a bit like Frank Mills the pianist.
