How about REM "It's the End of the World as We Know It" and I feel fine.
How about "I Melt With You" by Modern English:
I'll stop the world and melt with you
(Let's stop the world) You've seen the difference and it's getting better all the time
(Let's stop the world) There's nothing you and I won't do
(Let's stop the world) I'll stop the world and melt with you
The future's open wide
The future's open wide
Beautiful, relaxing and stimulating at the same time, and the most romantic instrumental I ever heard...
Jimi Hendrix May This Be Love (Waterfall) The instrumental is dreamlike.

ooh. abraxas. this was an almost mythical album in the late 70's
oops. I was thinking of Lotus.
Here's a Tiny Desk by Anderson .Paak and the Free Nationals. I like it a lot, All the players contribute to the irresistible, uncategorizable groove.

This shouldn't lift me up, it's about how much crap someone put up with. But it's empowering. She is strong enough to carry on despite all that. If I was Dave Stewart, I'd have hid when this came out until the entire universe forgot who I was. One of the best songs ever written in my view.

You reminded me of a very uplifting Annie Lennox
In terms of mood uplift, last night as I cleaned the kitchen I listened to Jimi's Axis Bold As Love. I don't know if it's because it's a thrilling, gorgeous, ground-breaking record with all three players at the absolute top of their game (those drums!) or because I have loved it for so many decades, but it made me very happy.

That album has some killer songs on it, including that.

LOVE.
Tonight again the John Legend version. As an actor and singer he is an incredible Jesus.
“Jesus Christ Superstar Live in Concert” airs at 7 p.m. ET. Sunday, April 12.

I agree the performer playing Judas stood out — hard not to — but he was Brandon Victor Dixon. (John Legend got the title role.)
Gonna put on the 1970 LPs shortly. Murray Head filled the bill, too.

Yikes you're right. Shuffled that in my mind!
Edited my post! Thank you!

Yvonne Ellison's voice and this song, a perfect fit.
I always get this mixed up, because Lorraine Ellison, from Philly, was second to none — not even the aforeposted Linda Jones — in vocal pyrotechnics.

I love love love that song and I almost typed Lorraine on my FB page but caught myself. I think I have that one on 45.
Hauntingly beautiful, sung in Aramaic in an abandoned Church in Tbilisi Georgia.
Was thinking about my family and friends in NY/NJ and got drawn to this song. I know it's still frightening but the tide is hopefully starting to turn due to all your efforts. So sending this to you with love. JA pic.twitter.com/qAwHpElYBK

Couldn't play the song.
Also, I shudder to think that the new avatar is a shout out to the Toronto Maple Leafs. Go Rangers!
I was there for this concert, and other than seeing David Bowie at PNC, this is the closest to a religious experience I ever got. Even if you hate this band, this show was extraordinary.
