Barr's Book Report On The Mueller Report Is In

no matter what it says Trump will claim it exonerates him.

Here's a framework for understanding the report:

THERE WAS NO WITCH HUNT! THIS IS COLLUSION!

We're potentially at a major crux of history here. And all I want to do is get home for some pizza and a beer. Maybe two. But as yahooyahoo says we get to wait and see what happens.

We should be thrilled the investigation was completed and Mueller didn't get fired. I hope it gets released to the right people.

On the one hand I hope our current sitting president is not compromised by Russia. On the other hand I think he's a reprehensible human being and he is brought to account for his misdeeds.

A senior Justice Department official has said Mueller is recommending no further indictments.

lol, so typical.  And they haven't seen the report yet.

Tweet from a conservative writer —

“Reason for Republicans not to celebrate: Mueller report could include evidence that many voters would find damning but still conclude it was unlikely prosecutors could convince a jury of guilt beyond a reasonable doubt. Therefore, no further action.”

How 'bout we wait to see those facts, comrade.

For all practical purposes it's over for now, as a) Barr will never release much of the report and b) you can't indict a sitting president.

Let Trump's administration die at the ballot box.

 Paul,

Facts have never mattered less.  We have a narcissistic, pathological liar as President with thousands of documented lies.  Facts, like science, are reserved for the decreasing minority of educated Americans. That’s why our reddest states are also our least educated states.  Enjoy the decline of civilization.

Not without a fight............and only if we allow it. The man will prove to be no more than a pimple who bought his way into the Facebook of this great nation.  Time wounds all heels.

Robert De Niro makes a public statement on Mueller Report.

I've written this before, but why not repeat it. It has been an absurd notion all along that Trump would have been personally working with Russian troll farms to influence the election.

But despite what Paul and nan keep saying, the contacts with Russian weren't nothing.  We already know from sworn testimony that Trump was doing business with Russians even after he was running for president.  This is highly unethical and dangerous, whatever government or business entities the candidate was working with, either friend or foe.  It's a serious conflict of interest if it's Russia, the UK, Israel, Germany, or the state of Texas for that matter.  Whether or not closer relations with Russia might be a good thing, it shouldn't be because the president personally stands to make a lot of money there.

Then there's the sworn testimony alleging that Trump has been involved for years in bank fraud and tax fraud.  There's a lot there that has been revealed by the investigations, even if there is not compelling evidence to bring indictments at this time.

It's a whitewash to suggest that there isn't pretty convincing evidence already that Trump, the campaign, and the Trump Organization were involved in a whole lot of shady business that involved Russia.

I would say that we don't know yet if it's a nothing burger. It could be a very tasteless veggie burger or it could be a big delicious double bacon cheeseburger. It's still wrapped up in the bag and we can't even smell it yet.

Whatever's in there I agree with ml1 ( tongue rolleye ) it won't be pictures of Trump in a room full of Russians typing on Soviet-era computers. It's likely to be a more complex and nuanced story. He could very well have found evidence that he does not feel compelled him to pursue further prosecution but that is Congress' job to pursue.

Seriously depressing. Feel like Jesse Pinkman when Walt gets away with yet another lie and out of another jam: "He can't keep getting away with it!"

Yet, it seems he does.

I need a hobby.

One wonders if this is why Pelosi took impeachment off the table last week.. What did she know that we still don't know?

 Um.

The report could be a big freakin turd in Trump's punch bowl but Mueller feels it's not in his purview to carry out the prosecution.

Civilization is threatened by Trump's crimes against humanity -- accelerating climate change, increasing the threat of nuclear war, attempting to overthrow a foreign government, trampling on the two-state solution and spewing racist and Islamophobic demagoguery.

But collusion with Russia in 2016 didn't happen.

That's what I meant by "Facts Matter."

You can read all about it in the Sub-Forum.

All stuff most of us knew Trump was going to do. But some decided it was better to trash Hillary and focus on nonsense like her email. Spare us.

And I don’t recommend going to the subforum. Lots of disinformation from @paulsurovell, and lots of us pointing that out got tired of being insulted instead of getting an intelligent response from him.

So, a discussion of a report no one has seen.

And no one's opinion has changed.

She knew Mueller is a life-long Republican.

The subforum exists for a reason - to save the sane from the bizarro world of Uncle Vladi's puppet.
