MOL- In Search Of

Weren't people supposed to PM their responses?
This is my 3000th participated discussion, by the way. Woo hoo.

Thank you, yes.
I think that clicking on the thread brings folks past those ideas.

As Shanabana noted respondents were asked to use the PM system. thus avoiding public conversations.
Thanks.

I think part of it is the whole communit aspect and the PMs are private. I like seeing who is giving what to whom. call me a voyeur.

If everyone uses the PM system, how are we supposed to know if the search is over?

oh, shh, you're a voyeur. You are too, apparently, Apollo.

ridski, I think the original posters in search of things were supposed to edit their initial requests. This may be too high maintenance for those who just like to post on the board in a more conversational way.

Apollo, the time has come for this thread! Thank you so much. I agree with Shhh! that it's appropriate for givers to post publicly. And now, topping my wish list: a stereo receiver and a TV antenna (bunny ears). We don't have cable service in our house, and occasionally there is something we'd like to watch on regular television.

As far as I know, Apollo, MOL posters cannot remove their posts, only edit them.

ISO for our new dog: a medium sized (28-30") dog crate. Can trade for larger one (36").

Ridski, Squeezable and others,
My idea was for much greater use of the PM system to avoid cluttering the main portion of the thread w/ conversations. I asked that folks edit their posts when not current to the rest of the world.
The hypothetical would look like this: Post ISO a widget, PM response A I have 1 for you, Pm res. B I have a pink 4U, PM res C... OP chooses B's; PMs others "Thanks". Then edits orig post to remove text and leave a public thanks or an asterisk...

ISO .....I have a long bench...roughly 11 ft in the basement, and I'm looking for either cusihons/foam/sponge etc to create a nice padding.

Hi.
I'd love
A) Bench top band saw- hopefully able to resaw 6"
B) Working/reparable Gas chain saw
Talk to me.
Thanks
Apollo T.

I'm in search of a buffet piece for my dinning room.

Looking for an artificial Christmas tree. THX!

I'm in search of a few things.
-Bubble Wrap (all sizes, also the 'air pocket' sort of things)
-Terra Cotta pots
-Camera equip people no longer want (for film or digi)

Also, and I know these are long shots, but I'm continually ISO a DVD player, toaster oven, powerful blender, and someone's old laptop that they're throwing out, b/c it's prob newer than mine, which weighs 10lbs and functions as a desktop.

I have some little things to give away, I guess I'll post 'em on the other thread.

Flugermongers,
Offer those items here as well someone may want to barter.
If you use the PM system in both places the earliest response, regardless of thread, will be first and will relieve you of having to figure it out.

In addition to the items above I'm ISO a used DSLR.
If you have one that's in good shape, but out of date
Let's talk-PM me.
TIA

No one will want to barter what I have to give away. I have a pair of large Avenue brand jeans, gotta check size, a swirly blue plastic hanging porch decoration (this is why I need to take photos), 2 Shick razors (no blades), a frog Beanie Baby, among other small items.

@flugermongers, not sure it will suit your needs, but I have about 10 boxes of various sizes from new lighting and they have a lot of styrofoam in the boxes. You could definitely protect a lot of fragile stuff. The boxes are in good condition.

Thank you @shh but I'm not looking for styro. I appreciate it so much, tho!

I'm also in search of plastic or metal shelving for a basement. Thanks!!!!

ladymc , I may have a turntable for you. Technix, perhaps.

And Squeezeboxmama, which always makes think of ( is it JT?) "mama's got a squeezebox, daddy never sleeps at night" I may have a receiver for you. Fischer, I think.

PM me
