I had no luck. I planted seeds a couple of years ago but nothing grew. So far I see Aquilegia up and the beginnings of Echinacea.
What type of Milkweed? Usually a bit later. I have well established common or swamp milkweed and I haven't seen anything yet.

@morganna - I put in full grown plants that I got from Cardinal last year, so hopefully they'll come back up soon. I have seeds that I gathered last fall. Let me know if you want more seeds to try again this year. Thank you!

@cats - My plants are also Swamp Milkweed. I will be patient and hope for the best. Thank you!
Same same!! All my other plants are starting to come back but the milkweed is bare. Also waited until November and then cut back dead parts and left about 6"-1'. Hoping to see something soon!

I imagine I'll see you at the plant sale!. I'm trying Globe Thistle again and Crocosmia again! Hope I have luck this time. And I sent away for Lobelia Cardinalis which I just planted today, my first time. I'm setting quite the table for my feathered friends.

Does anyone know when Milkweed breaks ground? I planted some last year and it did well. I cut the dead part back to about six inches from the ground earlier this spring. I hope I haven't killed it.
