Fair point. This is a pic before porch roof was built. There is a space between the rocks, above the door, that is much wider than the door. Recommended plan is molding. Curious if any other options might be available.

after decades, if not more, of existence we tore down a rotted wooden overhang surrounding our front door. Unfortunately there is flashing and bare wood now exposed, rather than the old limestone rock that the overall wall is made of (dating to 1920's). we have chosen not to replace the overhang and are exploring both molding and rock options. Next step is to call mason expert, but curious if anyone has any ideas about matching OLD limestone (rectangular, natural cut) or utilizing veneer to match old stone? Curious to hear any opinions. Thanks
