My opinion would be to do the annual subscription, which I did a few years back. Not only Microsoft but all these tech companies are moving in that direction and with all the updates they create, I’ve chosen to at least always have the latest, though I probably use about 1/10 of what it offers.

I was tired of being bombarded with notifications, so I finally installed Catalina. Now I have to upgrade my Microsoft applications! And it costs money. Anyone know a way around this? If not, do you think it's worthwhile to get Microsoft 365 for $69.99/year? Or should I just get classic Microsoft Office Home & Student for a one-time fee of $149.99?
Thank you.
