Lyndon LaRouche -- dead.

I believe some of his nutcase followers had tables set up by the Maplewood and Millburn post offices.

Will we now be obligated to sing the praises of his good deeds (whatever the hell they might be) while ignoring the asshattery that made up 99.9999% of his public persona?

Also under-examined has been a tantalizing clue about possible ties between LaRouche’s organization and Moscow. Buried in Christopher Steele’s dossier on Trump’s possible links to Russia was an August 2016 report with this allegation: A “Kremlin official involved in US relations” had claimed that Russia facilitated a LaRouche delegation’s trip to Moscow, offering members of LaRouche’s group assistance and enlisting them in an effort to disseminate “compromising information” as part of the Kremlin’s 2016 influence campaign. A lawyer with ties to both Stone and LaRouche’s network has claimed that he introduced Stone to a key LaRouche aide in early 2016, as Trump began to secure the Republican nomination.

I ran into some of them in front of the South Orange post office during W Bush’s term.  To say they were a bit over the top is being polite

He was good to his mother but  it all went South from there.

I remember fighting with these guys in college in the 70's.

It's funny how you people are all falling for this Lyndon LaRouche death rumor.

So is he dead or isn't he? He is/was a pretty frightening guy with a lot more power and contacts        than most people realize.

He appears to be alive.

That being the case, what a dirt bag!  A real carbuncle on the buttocks of humanity.  I definitely do not look forward to the day when he does proceed to the lower rings of Hell and, by the rules established in the John McCain eulogy thread, I will be confined to only saying nice things about him.

Edit the thread title to "almost dead" and we can probably say whatever the heck we like about him now.

He was last seen putting on his asbestos underwear..

In the 70s he predicted that Capitalism would end on July 4, 1976. So that summer some of us remembering that confronted a friend who was a follower and asked about that prediction. His reply "Do you really think this is capitalism we are still living under". That buddy went on to work for a large Corporation and make lots of money.

It was or is a cult. The members believe everything the Leader says, no matter how false, absurd or contradictory.

Sound familiar.

Eleven days after President Donald Trump’s election, Roger Stone, a longtime self-proclaimed GOP dirty trickster and Trump adviser, invited an unusual guest on his short-lived radio show, Stone Cold Truth, and began the interview with a question about former President Bill Clinton. “Well, I think the question of Bill Clinton is sometimes confused. Bill was framed,” Lyndon LaRouche replied. “And he was framed by the Queen of England.”

I still remember seeing this commercial for LaRouche back in the day.  My friends and I thought it was the funniest thing we had ever seen.

Reported in the NYTimes today that he really did die at the age of 96.

Of course the NY Times is reporting that he's dead. It's all part of the plan.

Guess you fell for the LaRoache life rumor... cheese

Well, then, I have only good things to say about him.  I will enumerate them now.

1) He efficiently converted air into its component parts.

2).....

I’m going to go with Reason magazine’s obit for the guy.
